Carl Porter, Manager
Carl Porter is a computer scientist, physicist, chemist and mathematician. He obtained his BS in Computer Science from Iowa State University along with a minor in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Mr. Porter founded and directs Systems Software International (SSI), a privately-held, consulting, systems and process design and analysis, production integration, design and implementation for SSI. Mr. Porter was under contract to Digital Equipment Corporation where he served as consultant for a requirement analysis study for SPACC, an Air Force Command Post. Leader of the team that designed, developed and implemented the first Cyber Warfare Defense for the Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS). TBMCS plans and coordinates the Air War for the DoD and their allies.
Frank Casserino -Unpaid Consultant
General Casserino entered the Air Force in 1977 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. From his first assignment at Sunnyvale Air Force Station, Calif., his career has been marked with opportunities to start new engineering and space programs, to include his selection as the prime payload specialist for a space shuttle flight in September 1986. In 1993, he was selected to begin the space unit program for Air Force Reserve Command. That effort has grown to two groups and a reserve space wing with over 1000 men and women. General Casserino is qualified to wear the Command Space Badge and the Parachute Badge.
Maj. Gen. Frank J. Casserino retired as the mobilization assistant to the Commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. on 1 Feb 2012 after almost 35 years in the Air Force. In this last assignment he advised and assisted the Four Star Commanding General in essential US National Defense policy formulation, managing infrastructure programs, evaluation of joint exercises in Space Operations, implementation of projects in the globalization of Space. Key spokesperson for the Commander, Air Force Space Command, and the US Air Force Reserve in communication of Space activities for civic and public awareness.
As a civilian, he worked for the Aerospace Corporation for 29 years as a space engineer/consultant for Air Force Space Command and Missile Defense Agency. In his last assignment, he led critical systems engineering analysis and strategically essential testing oversight in a challenging environment of continuous and simultaneous testing and system’s readiness for the Command and Control Battle Management and Communication System. This system is essential to the missile defense of the nation and provides the integrated Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) picture for the war fighter.
Gerry Weitz -Unpaid Consultant
Gerry was born and raised in New York, New York. Received an honourable discharge from the US Navy in 1968.
He graduated from college in 1971 with a BA in English and Political Science. He attended Denver Seminary and received a Masters’ Degree in 1974. This was followed by 39 years of pastoral ministry.
Latter a Christian Foundation hired him as their CEO in 1987, serving for three years. In 1992, Gerry worked at SSI for Carl Porter as his assistant until 2001. Having received my real estate license in 1998 he continued to serve as a broker concurrently. He returned to Carl Porter’s company, now called C-Twist, as a consultant in 2016.
Stephen Smith – Unpaid Consultant
Stephen Smith is multi-disciplined in Physics, Mathematics, Electro-Magnetics, Satellite Communications technologies, Radar, Antennas, Computer Compression technologies, Lasers, Optics, and the cell structure of the human anatomy, etc. Mr. Smith served as Chief Engineer, Principal Investigator for McCulloch Corporation, as well as Technical Consultant for Litton Industries and General Dynamics. Mr. Smith was also a research engineer for General Electric Corporation, Philco Corporation and Smyth Research Associates. Mr. Smith comes from dignified and influential lineage of scientist and inventors. Mr. Smith’s father was a scientist and Technical Director of Bell Labs and was the author of the “Smith Chart” which is still studied by electrical engineering students at universities today. Mr. Smith great grandfather, five times removed, was Eli Whitney. Mr. Smith is the inventor of the eSpin™ Communication technology.
Dr. Stuart O’Byrne – Unpaid Consultant
Dr. Stuart O’Byrne has worked in science, with a special interest in medicine and biomechanics. A lifetime member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, he has conducted research in surgery, bacteriology and infectious disease. After attending medical school on an Army Medical Scholarship, Dr. O’Byrne served 22 years in the military, retiring with the rank of Colonel and Mobile Army Surgical Hospital Commander. In private practice as a radiologist, Dr. O’Byrne led in the development of one of the first teleradiology systems commercially available in the United States which worked over standard phone lines. After developing a van with mobile processing capabilities to monitor mammography, he presented the new technology at the Radiology Society of North America. Additionally, Dr. O’Byrne developed van-mounted commercial CT and MRI systems. Research and development of new medical technologies continues to be a passion for him. Currently, Dr. O’Byrne leads a group of like-minded individuals who are interested in multiple areas of research and development emphasizing green technology, smart farming, wastewater management and energy efficiency. The application of new information technology for communities is essential to these endeavors. Active projects for Dr. O’Byrne include involvement in areas such as water and nano technology, agriculture and animal sciences. Working in collaboration with several universities he is focusing on proof of concept and validation projects for new technologies. His company, Moses Lake Group Technology Incubator, has confirmed test results that show significant promise in areas of resource conserving plant and animal production. This research has set the stage for a cooperative experiment with one of the leading institutions in the United States, the School of Agricultural and Veterinary Science at Washington State University.
Chris Brenner – Unpaid Consultant
Chris Brenner is an attorney with over twenty years of experience representing clients in matters related primarily to general business, transactional and securities matters. Mr. Brenner represents entities and individuals in all manner of business transactions. He has represented issuers and investors in connection with a variety of capital transactions for companies at various stages of development. He has represented parties in the formation of joint ventures, investment and operating entities, stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Brenner has also advised clients in connection with the formation of private equity, real estate and other investment funds. Dr. Gross is an Associate Professor of Finance and Economics at Bar Ilan University, Ashkelon Academic College, Finance and Economics Department, Introduction to Finance, Calculation Company Value and Labor Economics, Holon Institute of Technology-Engineering Economics, Procurement Management. Dr. Gross is Chief Consultant and advisor with Strategic Models, Ltd. for developing business strategy for ongoing enterprises and start-ups. Dr. Gross has promoted various technological projects including raising capital in both government and private sectors, developing business strategies and business models for numerous start-up companies.
Andreas F. Molisch – External Consultant
He received the Dipl. Ing., Dr. techn., and habilitation degrees from the Technical University Vienna (Austria) in 1990, 1994, and 1999, respectively. From 1991 to 2000, he was with the TU Vienna, becoming an associate professor there in 1999. From 2000-2002, he was with the Wireless Systems Research Department at AT&T (Bell) Laboratories Research in Middletown, NJ, USA. From 2002-2008, he was with Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Cambridge, MA, USA, most recently as Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Chief Wireless Standards Architect. Concurrently he was also Professor and Chair holder for radio systems at Lund University, Sweden. Since 2009, he is Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, where he heads the Wireless Devices and Systems (WiDeS) group. Since 2011, he is also co-director of the Communications Sciences Institute (CSI). His current research interests are measurement and modeling of mobile radio channels, UWB, cooperative communications, MIMO systems, novel cellular architectures, and wireless healthcare. Dr. Molisch has authored, co-authored or edited 4 books (among them the textbook “Wireless Communications, Wiley-IEEE Press, 2nd ed.), 16 book chapters, some 150 journal papers, and numerous conference contributions, as well as more than 70 patents and 60 standards contributions. Dr. Molisch is Area Editor for Antennas and Propagation of the IEEE Trans. Wireless Comm., Division Editor for the Journal of Communications and Networking and co-editor of special issues of several journals. He has been General Chair, TPC Chair, or Track/Symposium Chair of numerous international conferences. He was chairman of the COST 273 working group on MIMO channels, the IEEE 802.15.4a channel model standardization group, Commission C (signals and systems) of URSI (International Union of Radio Scientists, 2005-2008), and the Radio Communications Committee of the IEEE Communications Society (2009-2010). He has received numerous awards, most recently the James Evans Avant-Garde Award of the IEEE VT Society, the Donald Fink Award of the IEEE, and the Eric Sumner Award of the IEEE. Dr. Molisch is a Fellow of the IEEE, Fellow of the IET, and an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, as well as a member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
